I’m Allison (she/her)—Scorpio, choreographer of chaos, your Creativity Witch. I’ve got major Queen of Cups water sign energy, but if I were a liquid, I wouldn’t be a calming herbal tea—I’d be a boiling hot cauldron of glittering purple potion. I’m a mermaid witch with a playlist full of ABBA, Florence and the Machine, Chappell Roan, and Fleetwood Mac. A sparkly big sister who pulls a tarot card mid-rehearsal and tells you, “You’re not too much. You are EVERYTHING.”
Allison MacLaury Arts isn’t just a business. It’s a movement. A glitter-drenched rebellion. A creative-spiritual uprising where art is sacred, weirdness is worshipped, and artists are finally allowed to be their full, radiant, too-much selves.
Who I Am
I’ve always had three soul-deep identities: performer, teacher, witch. I didn’t choose them—they chose me. I spent over a decade leading a brilliant, busy arts education career: directing, choreographing, producing, teaching, and running full programs. I was living the dream... and quietly burning out.
Until one day, my spirit guides came in like a mic drop:
"You should never give this much of yourself again unless your name is on the marquee."
So I listened.
I walked away from the career I’d spent years building. I slowed down. Got witchier. Reclaimed my ADHD sparkle. I stopped performing for approval and started creating for joy again. I remembered the girl who used to choreograph spells in sequins and whisper affirmations backstage.
I didn’t just pivot—I rose from the ashes like the main character of a musical no one saw coming.
Now, I’m not an exhausted theatre educator. I’m a rebel witch guiding artists, intuitives, and sacred weirdos back to their creative power.
What I Believe
Here’s what I know in my bones:

Joy is a ritual.

I’m not here to fix you. I’m here to dance beside you, cast spells with you, and remind you of who you were before the burnout, before the industry, before the world told you to be smaller.

30+ years of dance, theatre, and voice training and performing experience
15+ years of professional teaching and leadership experience
Choreographed, directed, and produced dozens of theatre productions (favorites include Chicago, Mamma Mia, A Chorus Line, and The Laramie Project)
Bachelor of Science in Theatre Education, Columbus State University
Master of Arts in Theatre Education, Emerson College
Semester abroad in Florence, Italy studying acting and theatre history
Ballet injury prevention training with Veronica K Ballet
Extensive intuitive training in tarot, astrology, mediumship, and witchcraft
But most importantly: I’ve walked the path of the creative misfit. I know what it’s like to lose yourself to burnout, and I know how to come back blazing with magic and self-trust.
